CRA BOD Meeting MinutesCRA BOD Meeting Minutes 29th of November 2010 Website Translation-It has been almost a year that the BOD has been trying to get the translation of the website done. The CRA web marketer has given us a very good price for the translation but before she can move ahead the body/content of the pages must be revamped(explanation of ring and introduction etc). We are asking you the membership if there is an individual or a group of people that are willing to take on this project. 2011 CRA Championships-The 2011 CRA Championships will be hosted by West Coast Ring Club Decoy Certifications-In order to certify as a CRA decoy all paperwork (doctor’s note and proof of tetanus) must be in order before the selection. No exceptions will be made. As per discussion on the Yahoo BOD the CRA has decided to reimburse any decoy who successfully passes their decoy selection a maximum of 50.00 cad to help diminish costs for decoys. This will come into effect in 2011. As in the past the CRA BOD is in agreement with having Canadian decoys participate in the Championships. Both decoys participating are required to be Level II decoys. Championships-In regard to working on decoys who are to participate in the Canadian Championships… Any team (dog and handler) Ring I – Ring III found working their dog on a decoy participating in the Canadian Championships within 1 month of the Championships will lose their eligibility to obtain the title of Champion for that year. ***Please be advised that due to the limited number of competitions in Canada it has been decided that starting in 2011 with the 2011 CRA Championships, Championship scores will be counted toward the following season. This will hopefully make it easier for individuals to obtain more scores and higher averages.*** Clarification…the CRA will pay for the engraving of the plaques for the Championship Cups. Bylaws-Daniel Lybbert and Chrystal peters have offered their help in updating the CRA bylaws. Judges Program-The Judges Program is still a priority and the BOD is currently communicating with French Judges in the development of the program. Cup of the Americas-Through communication with Mexico and NARA here is some preliminary information. Nothing has been decided as yet but this is a rough outline. The CRA, NARA and GTR Mexico are interested in promoting the event. The competition is slated to be held on the same date each year – Last weekend of May or 1st weekend of June. Teams will be composed of 3 teams in each level from each country. There will be individual and team trophies. Decoy from organizing country will decoy ring III and there will be a draw for the other levels. Decoy and judges are paid for by the hosting organization. CRA account balance-3981.34 cad |
